5 Cardiology Conferences to Attend in 2019

Conferences provide the ideal environment for you to engage the key influencers in your sales cycle: physicians. If you're selling cardiology supplies or medical devices, here are five of the best conferences to either attend or target for exhibiting

1. ACC.19 68th Annual Scientific Session & Expo

When: March 16 - 18, 2019
Where: New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A

Forecasted to have 16,600+ attendees and 273 exhibitors, the ACC.19 68th Annual Scientific Session & Expo is a must-attend conference for those selling medical supplies and equipment to cardiologists. Hosted by the American College of Cardiology, the conference will have both U.S. and international attendees, all of whom spend an average of 3 ½ hours at the expo.

Exhibition space is still available. You can reserve a booth on the ACC.19 website, or email craig.baker@spargoinc.com (companies A-L) or connie.shaw@spargoinc.com (companies M-Z) for more information on becoming an exhibitor.

2. 28th International Conference on Clinical & Experimental Cardiology Research

When: April 17 - 18, 2019
WhereMontreal, Québec, Canada

Catering to practicing cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, and others working in the specialty, the 28th International Clinical and Experimental Cardiology Research Conference is a great chance for you to exhibit your products. Exhibition space is open to those manufacturing cardiac surgery lab equipment, clinical trial organizations, business delegates, and cardiology-related lab supply manufacturers.

Final call for exhibitor registration is April 10, 2019, for the price of €1,378. Speakers can register before April 10 for €602.

3. World Congress on Cardiac Surgery & Medical Devices 2019

When: April 17 - 18, 2019
Where: Montreal, Québec, Canada

Although it's taking place during the same week as the 28th International Clinical and Experimental Cardiology Research Conference (and in the same city, no less), we couldn't leave the World Congress on Cardiac Surgery & Medical Devices 2019 off this list.

If you’re a product manufacturer, you have the opportunity to exhibit equipment, announce product launches, and organize workshops. Business delegates may not only deliver speaker presentations, but also host symposiums on topics relevant to the markets they serve.

Exhibitors have until April 10, 2019 to reserve space for this event. For those who reserve space on or before February 18 of next year, the price is €1,206.

4. New Cardiovascular Horizons 20th Annual Conference

When: May 29 - 30, 2019
Where: New Orleans, Louisiana, USA

Founded in 1999, the New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH) Annual Conference focuses on educating physicians and other allied health professionals involved in peripheral cardiac interventions, from carotid to below-the-knee procedures. Some of the conference’s educational objectives include informing practitioners about:

  • Recent clinical trials discussing contemporary approaches to peripheral vascular management
  • Pharmacologic management of patients with cardiovascular disease, peripheral artery disease, and critical limb ischemia

While the conference is educational in nature, NCVH does invite commercial exhibitors and sponsors to attend as long as all programs adhere to ACCME guidelines. NCVH provides the opportunity to book exhibit booths, meal functions, print advertising, and training pavilions.

5. SCAI 2019

When: May 19 - 22, 2019
Where: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Hosted by the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), SCAI 2019 caters to general, invasive, and interventional cardiologists as well as other physician specialists. One of the key sessions includes the SCAI Innovation and Technology Summit which will focus on “rapidly evolving medical advances, new technologies, and approaches to device innovation and patent applications.”

Attendees have the option to experience sessions in one of five tracks:

  • Coronary
  • Structural Heart Disease
  • Peripheral Vascular
  • Congenital Heart Disease
  • Cath Lab Boot Camp

Those interested in exhibiting may contact Sandy Hung at shung@scai.org. Those interested in exhibits must submit their applications by March 1st, 2019. For more details, check out SCAI’s industry prospectus.

An informed sales force is a successful sales force. Knowing which procedures cardiologists conducted over the course of a year, and which populations each physician serves, can help you refine your targeting efforts.
