iMDsoft, a leader in Anesthesia Information Management Systems, announced that St. Louis Children's Hospital has implemented MetaVision in 114 beds across its perioperative environment, according to a report on News-Medical.Net.

Children's is part of BJC HealthCare, who sought a system that would help standardize documentation and case processes throughout the organization. This new project follows BJC's installation of MetaVision at its adult academic medical center, Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

The MetaVision Anesthesia Information Management System supports the workflow and documentation processes throughout the entire anesthesia process and beyond, from pre-op, through intra-op and into recovery. It has powerful clinical decision support tools that improve patient care and adherence to internal protocols and regulatory guidelines. The system generates an accurate, billable anesthesia record including accurate tracking of events, medications and procedures. Billable events are captured, which helps maximize accuracy of both professional and facility charges.
