2014-01-07 – Southern Maine Medical Center, Goodall Hospital Complete Merger

Goodall Hospital and Southern Maine Medical Center completed their merger and became a new system called Southern Maine Health Care (SMHC), which is the fifth largest healthcare system in Maine.

SMHC offers a comprehensive array of medical care and services, including full-service medical centers and emergency departments in Biddeford and Sanford. SMHC provides care from more than 20 offices located in the Maine cities and towns of Biddeford, Kennebunk, Old Orchard Beach, Saco, Sanford, and Waterboro.
