Mayo Clinic will make its analytics available online on health analytics market Apervita.
Chicago-based Apervita is a secure self-service platform that allows health professionals to share health datasets on a marketplace for others to analyze and author evidence-based algorithms. Mayo Clinic, headquartered in Rochester, Minn., will share its algorithms on the marketplace to improve patient outcomes, according to the Herald Online. Mayo's algorithms include cardiology, pulmonology and oncology, among other specialties.
Apervita recently received $18 million in venture funds. Mayo Clinic has a financial interest in Apervita, which goes to support patient care, education and research, according to the news release.
